Inserting a Custom List into a Form

Use list fields on a module to display options based a master list that you have created or uploaded. Custom lists allow you to store data in a spreadsheet format with multiple data types in rows and columns. Maintain and update and the list data in one location while displaying the list contents in multiple forms. Use a list for commonly used data, such as a list of states. Or, use more complex lists with multiple data types. For example, use a list that contains part names, numbers and costs. When a list is included on a form, you can add fields that reference the list data and automatically populate based on user selections.
